Founded by the Venerable Master Hsuan Hua, the Association includes the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, a multi-ethnic Buddhist community north of San Francisco.

Dharma Rain Zen Center

This Portland, Oregon center publishes StillPoint, a newsletter with articles on various aspects of the Zen tradition.

Buddhist Peace Fellowship

Founded in 1978 to “bring a Buddhist perspective to the peace movement and to bring the peace movement to the Buddhist community.” They publish the quarterly journal Turning Wheel.

Buddhist Churches of America

Shin Buddhist organization, with administrative headquarters in San Francisco; site includes a photo gallery of churches and temples, and the Wheel of Dharma newsletter.


Envisioned as an “online cyber sangha,” this site includes an audio library, BuddhaZine, and an international directory of Buddhist centers.

Ken Inaba and Gracie Hernandez married on Oct. 20 at the Yakima Buddhist Church. Once again, just as it has for nearly a century, the modest building at 212 W. Second St. brought people together in a joyful and profound ritual of human life.
