On January 14, 2003 The Argus reported that "[Fremont, CA] police arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of making violent threats and committing a hate crime after he threatened to burn down the Sikh temple... David Criswell of Hayward was arrested about 6:15 p.m. Sunday after a weeklong investigation into the case that began during a road-rage incident Jan. 4, police said."
