Rabbi Jeremy Steinberg has a lot going on.

Married and the father of nine, Steinberg, 48, is a computer programmer, systems analyst and software consultant. He's an expert on Jewish history and is preparing to begin doctoral studies in Hebrew linguistics and biblical exegesis.

Oh, and he's the Jewish chaplain at Fort Bragg, N.C., home of the famed 82nd Airborne Division. The lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve is just days away from completing an active duty tour that included multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq.
