"We are all people of faith who worship the same God."
It's a statement those who have been attending "Islam and Christianity: A Dialogue" have taken away from the Muslim guest speakers at Mount Washington Presbyterian Church.
"We have a curiosity as to how the two faiths look at matters of life and faith, what are the differences and what are the similarities," said Gail Kiley, program consultant for the church.
And at Westwood First Presbyterian, a similar program, "Islam, A World Religion and Its Complexity," is bringing people together to learn about the faith.
"By growing in our personal knowledge of the people and faiths of the world, we gain understanding in how to relate to our neighbor down the street," said co-pastor Steve Gorman.
