Emily is a second-year Master of Theological Studies student, focusing on Religions in the Americas. She is especially interested in the religious history of women in America and the relationship between religion and culture. As an undergraduate, she studied Religious Studies, Classics, and Linguistics at Utah State University. Before starting at Harvard Divinity School, Emily worked in Salt Lake City for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, collecting records, conducting archival research, and writing brief narrative histories about Latter-day Saints around the world. She is looking forward to being able to continue to produce public-facing scholarship on religion at the Pluralism Project.
