Demographics: The Buddhist Meditation Group welcomes anyone regardless of age or religious background. They draw from communities North of Boston such as Reading, North Reading, Lynnfield, Wilmington, Stoneham, Woburn, and Wakefield.

Activities and Schedule: A standard meeting is comprised of the following activities: opening ceremony/invocation, brief Dharma discussion, guided Meditation, Qi-gong exercises, meditation and chanting practice, and the closing (recitation of the Five Limitless Thoughts). The group’s Sangha meditation practice includes silent meditation and chanting of the name of Buddha Amitabha (Chinese–Amitofo). This is central to the Pure Land Practice, a popular form of Buddhism in Asia, and offers the most benefit to all practitioners. A complete schedule of meeting times can be found on their website.

Outreach and Interfaith Activity: They are affiliated with a number of Meditation groups including Buddha Heart Sangha in Haverhill, Buddha Heart Sangha in Northampton, and Meditation Practice Group - The Sacred Pause.
