Interfaith group works beyond vigils - The Edwardsville Intelligencer

“Vigil after vigil was the only time I’d see the other clergy,” said Rabbi Rebecca Dubowe of Moses Montefiore Temple in Bloomington, who decided, “We need to get together.” So, about a year and a half ago, Dubowe connected with the Rev. Mollie Ward, director of mission and spiritual care at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, to create the McLean County Interfaith Alliance.

Interfaith Ramadan Iftar Dinner Held in Montville | TAPinto

Approximately 75 people gathered at the Montville United Methodist Church in Towaco May 10 for an interfaith Iftar dinner. The Iftar is the meal that Muslims eat after sunset during the holy month of Ramadan to break their daily fast. Christians, Jews and Muslims ate together at the meal, sponsored by the Peace Islands Institute, to learn something about the Islamic faith and share conversation and peace, in the words of Montville United Methodist Church Pastor Donald Kirschner.
