Nevia Selmon (She/Her) is a Master of Theological Studies student at Harvard Divinity School pursuing a degree in Religion, Ethics, and Politics. Within this, she focuses on Interfaith Advocacy, Ethical Governance, and Pluralistic Education. She also works for the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships within the Department of Education, creating resources that further the mission of the White House’s National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism and National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia. Much of her work this past summer has been in the creation of materials, very pertinent in the post October-7th climate, that ensure that every student feels safe and free from discrimination on their campus – both within Higher Education and K-12 schools. Nevia has a BA in Psychology and Religious Studies from Smith College, where she also rowed during her entire time there. She is looking forward to expanding on campus-based Promising Practices and in organizing various interfaith events with the Pluralism Project.
