2020 Research Associate
Ethan is a first-year Master of Theological Studies student at Harvard Divinity School concentrating in Jewish Studies. Specifically, he is interested in contemporary Jewish theology, Jewish masculinities, and the Jewish prophetic. His research interests include placing the midrash in its imperial contexts, and the development of late antique Jewish biblical exegesis. Most recently, he completed an Honors thesis which included an original translation and commentary on the opening chapter of Esther Rabbah. Ethan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Macalester College in 2020 where he studied Religious Studies and played football. As an undergraduate, Ethan led sexual violence prevention and healthy masculinity trainings for Twin Cities area football teams. He is excited to bring his love of the Twin Cities to the Pluralism Project.
