Ellie Ashby is a Master of Theological Studies candidate at Harvard Divinity School, where she focuses in Christianity and American religious history. She has a particular interest in the relationship between theology as belief and theology as practice, which has inspired her work around the question of how American evangelicals practically fulfill the command to “love thy neighbor,” as well as the Great Commission. She completed her B.A. in Social Studies at Harvard College, where she wrote for *The Harvard Crimson* as a member of the Editorial Board. She will be working at the Religion News Service and the Texas Tribune upon graduating.
