On March 19, 2006 News 10 Now reported, "A group of more than 200 women as diverse as the flags that hung above them gathered Sunday evening to raise money for good causes [at the Women Transcending Boundaries' International Dinner.] One of those causes is Women for Women International, which helps women survivors of war become self-sufficient through financial and emotional support... [Erica Tavares of Women for Women International] says the work Women Transcending Boundaries does is amazing. 'It is one of the largest groups of interfaith women coming together. And it is really great to see that kind of network of women supporting not only each other and their community but really really reaching out to support women around the world,' said Tavares. The group was formed by two women shortly after September 11th to help women better understand different religious traditions. Now the group has grown to more than 350 members."
