On December 5, 2003 The Grand Forks Herald reported on the unusual celebrations by Muslims at the University of North Dakota of Eid this Ramadan. As the closest mosque is in Fargo, students gathered in the meditation room. Prayer was led by Nabil Suleiman, a Palestinian UND civil engineering professor.
