On April 11, 2003 the Kansas City Jewish Chronicle reported that "Wichita, Kan., Police are investigating the vandalism of more than 40 headstones at the Wichita Hebrew Cemetery, which was discovered Monday morning, April 7... The cemetery is maintained by the city's traditional synagogue, Wichita Hebrew Congregation, whose spiritual leader is Rabbi Pincus Aloof."
