U.S. Senate Adopts Resolution Recognizing Diwali

WASHINGTON — Just weeks after the U.S. House unanimously passed a resolution recognizing the historical and cultural significance of Diwali, the U.S. Senate has now also adopted a nearly identical resolution.

Senate Resolution 299, which was introduced by Democratic Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey, passed unanimously in the Senate on November 14.
