At the end of June, a group of youth from the Hindu Temple attended a retreat at Camp Gardner, near Bragg Creek.
On reaching the campground parking lot, the kids got a tractor ride to the lodge which would be their quarters for the next two nights. After settling their bags on the bunk beds, the kids gathered around the camp fire to have a discourse with Pandit (priest) Sodiyalji about the five elements of earth, fire, water, wind and ether. This session focused on the importance of these elements in our lives and why should people take care of the environment. The evening ended with children asking Panditji questions and singing hymns.
