Sikh Sporting Carnival Held in Chicago

CHICAGO: Sikh priests held a religious parade through the streets of the city as part of an annual Sikh sporting festival that featured kabaddi, yoga as well as vigorous bhangra dances and spicy Indian dishes.

The 13th Punjabi sports festival on Sunday was organised by the Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago. Sikh priests attired in traditional orange kurtas and white pajamas participated in the parade, followed by women in traditional outfits carrying orange flags marked with the Sikh religious symbol.
