Sikh Honored as an Outstanding Asian American Businessman

On July 24, 2006 the Sikh Sangat reported, "The Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) recently honored Navneet Singh Narula, a Senior Management Consultant with Accenture LLP, as the 'Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business.' The Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business is the nation's most prestigious Asian American Business award program that highlights the contributions and success of Top 50 Asian American entrepreneurs and senior level corporate executives for their outstanding achievements in the field of business and their visionary leadership. Narula received the honor on June 16 at an awards dinner in New York City that was attended by more than 800 business, government and civic community leaders. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was the keynote speaker and presented Navneet with the honor for his outstanding leadership, vision and contributions to the Business world and in building and empowering communities as a corporate citizen leader... Throughout his career, Narula has met with U.S. senators and members of congress to discuss local community issues, diversity differences, human right fights and to bridge gaps between law makers and local citizens. He plays a leadership role within Accenture’s Diversity and Corporate Citizenship programs and has been the Diversity lead at Accenture’s overall Michigan practice and currently leads the Asian Americans Committed to Excellence Diversity group in Atlanta. He advises many non-profit charities and also serves as a Director of Community Empowerment at United Sikhs, a global humanitarian relief NGO [non-governmental organization]."
