Eighteen Muslim Shops in the south regions of Azerbaijan – Bilasuvar, Jalilabad, Masalli and Lankaran, have been raided, Miryahya Badirov, the head of the South Office of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Religious Organizations, said to Trend News.

Last year, the State Committee for Religious Organizations examined 750 religious books, and prohibited the import and distribution of 140 of them, because they popularize religious intolerance and discrimination.

“The books popularizing religious intolerance were removed from book-shops,” Badirov said. But, he did not divulge the number of the books.
