On April 7, 2004 Ripon College Colleg Days reported, "Sunday, the international dinner kicked off a series of events as part of 'One World, Many Faiths,' a celebration of religious diversity on campus sponsored by the Cultural Diversity Club and the religion department, heightening an already growing discussion among college students about their spirituality. 'I have noticed that there are a good number of students interested in religion, not necessarily because they are religious but because they are looking for something for their personal life,' says Brian Smith, professor of religion... Administrators have also felt the need to create spiritual space on campus. Joyce and Smith are considering creating a space on campus where students can go to pray or meditate. 'The president would like to find a room that is open 24 hours a day,' Smith says."
