On October 24, 2003 The Fayetteville Observer reported that "this year, in Fayetteville, NC, Muslims hope to reach out to the community and help non-Muslims understand what their faith is about. Each Saturday during Ramadan, local Muslims will hold community services to break the fast. The first is scheduled Nov. 1 at Masjid Omar Ibn Sayyid on Murchison Road. Another is scheduled at a location to be determined at Fort Bragg on Nov. 15, with the final one at Masjid Al Madina on Raeford Road on Nov. 22."
