New Bedford Community Rallies Against Hate Crime

On July 11, 2003 India Abroad reported that the New Bedford, Mass community "gathered, some with candles in hand, to condemn the hate crime" committed against UMass Dartmouth graduate student, Saurabh Bhalerao. "It was called the No Place for Hate rally; it featured a Christian minister, a rabbi, the town mayor, counselors, community leaders, students, and the police chief."
