Mosque Vandalized in Lubbock, TX

On March 7, 2004 The Associated Press reported, "The spiritual leader of a Lubbock mosque discovered anti-Muslim graffiti, broken computers and broken windows when he arrived at the mosque for morning prayers today.

Police said the graffiti and vandalism of the Islamic Center of the South Plains took place sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday. Police would not elaborate on what the graffiti said, but mosque officials said they were racial and anti-Muslim in nature."
