Every time people walk into the new interfaith chapel at McKee Medical Center, it will feel like autumn in Colorado.
Three-dimensional yellow Aspen leaves cover a double-sided window allowing light to shine in and give life to the painted leaves.
This type of room is unique to McKee, said Chaplain Bruce Rippe, who has been a hospital chaplain for 30 years.
“A lot of hospitals have chapels, no other hospital has a chapel like this,” Rippe said.“I feel very proud of that fact.”
The $250,000 interfaith chapel project has taken several months to complete, he said.
