On October 23, 2003 the Ealing Times reported that "the Sikh Gurdwara temple in Southall [suburb of London] came out on top of both the Ealing Civic Society Architectural Award and [the Ealing Times'] online poll. At the award presentation ceremony last night Sardar Himat Singh Sohi (President of the Gurdwara) accepted the award for the winning building. Gurdwara swept the board on the Ealing Times website taking the most votes and the special Civic Society's e-award which is in its second year."
