Formed in December 2003, the group's goal is simple: to build understanding between Jewish and Muslim people. With members from the South Metro Jewish Congregation, the Jewish congregation Shir Tikvah, Bilal Mosque and the Muslim Educational Trust -- the group will have its first public event in September. The arts program for 30 children ages 7-13 will explore similarities and differences between the two faiths on Sept. 19 and 26, Jeral said.
