On December 10, 2004 the BBC News reported, "Initial designs for the second Sikh primary school in England have been given the go-ahead. Planners at Slough Borough Council backed the application for the £8m school in the Berkshire town. Members of the Sikh School Trust now hope the school will be able to start taking admissions by 2006. Last year, the council threw out the scheme but the case was referred to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator, who ruled in parents' favour in January."
