On August 8, 2003 the Muslim Journal reported that Imam W. Deen Mohammed spoke on June 21, 2003 at the Apollo theater in Harlem, N.Y. to over 3,000 people. Imam Mohammed addressed the topic "'New Africa: A New Mind, A New Life, A New Beginning for Black People in America.'"
