In a Hindu temple inside a west Bronx apartment on the Grand Concourse, dozens of the faithful will don their most colorful saris and shiniest jewelry on Friday to join the 2 million Hindus in the nation celebrating the five-day holiday of Diwali.

At Sevashram Sangha, a Hindu mandir, or temple, near 180th St., people will pack into the main prayer room, spilling over into a hallway to listen through a loudspeaker to prayers chanted in Sanskrit and Hindi.
