On October 15, 2004 Trinidad and Tobago Express reported, "Not many can afford to journey to the sacred pilgrims of India so for this year's Divali celebration, the PRIDE Foundation in collaboration with the Sri Dattatreya Yoga Centre will create a pilgrimage site-Jyoti Mahotsav (the festival of lights) where devotees can visit and discover their light within. This initiative is under the patronage of Senator Linda Baboolal and the driving force behind the venture is Minister in the Ministry of Science and Technology Sateesh Ramroop. Ramroop released the plans for the pilgrimage site which is to be constructed at the Sri Dattatreya centre, Orange Field Road, Carapichaima, yesterday at the Hilton, St Anns, yesterday."
