On October 31, 2004 The Flint Journal reported, "Genesee County Habitat for Humanity has received the 'Building on Faith 2004' award from Habitat for Humanity International for its House of Abraham project, the local group's first interfaith effort. The house is being built ... by members of a Jewish synagogue, Muslim mosque, 21 Christian churches, and two youth groups."
