Over 200 members of the local Sikh congregation gathered at the front of the new Gurdwara Sahib on Friday September 18th 2009 to take part in one of the most historic events not only for the local community but for the Sikh congregation scattered all over the world. At 3.00 pm representatives from local Leamington Contractors AC Lloyd, architects MPC and Quantity Surveyors Starkey Button, formally handed the keys of the new Gurdwara Sahib to members of the Sikh congregation.

Managing Director of AC Lloyd, Alistair Clarke presented the key to the head Priest Charanjit Singh and had this to say; "It's been a real privilege to work on this project, I'm very proud at what we've managed to achieve and I'm pleased for the whole community."

Head Priest Charanjit Singh who lead the service had this to say when receiving the key: "It's a great day of honour for the whole congregation and represents the great dedication that they have had to ensure that this project was completed."
