On June 21, 2006 the Islamic Republic News Agency reported, "The British government is coming under growing criticism for not listening to Muslim advice following last year's London bombings. After the attacks on London's transport system on July 7, 2005, Prime Minister Tony Blair set up seven Muslim task forces for consultations. But seven months after the working groups made 64 recommendations last November, the Home Office has accepted only three and implemented only one -- a series of 'roadshows' by mainly foreign Muslim scholars -- but is being rivaled by a grassroots movement. Labour MP Sadiq Khan, who sat on the task force on policing, said that the Muslim community feels that it has been snubbed by the government."
