Interfaith dialogue designed to show 'we all speak the same language'

The recent world premiere of "Constellation," a movie about race and family relations, builds a perfect backdrop to the first local Interfaith Summit Feb. 22-25, organizers say.

"The message of that movie is that one can always go back to love we thought was broken or didn't exist - how appropriate for this summit," said Laj Utreja, a member of the board of Huntsville's Interfaith Mission Service.

Taking inspiration from Huntsville's religious and cultural diversity and from ideas collected at September's World Parliament of Religions in Montreal, the local Interfaith Summit will feature nationally known scholars Rabbi David Saperstein and professor John Thatamanil.

Presentations, which are free and open to the public, will explore the integration of wisdom from a variety of cultures and faiths.
