Death is one thing all humans share and most also believe something happens to the spirit after death.

Faith can comfort those left grieving, no matter what form that belief takes.

The North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement and Mountain Area Interfaith Forum present a panel discussion, “Through a Prism Darkly: Different Faiths Grapple with Death and Mourning,” at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Chestnut Ridge Room of the Reuter Center at UNC Asheville.

“I've been with this topic all my life,” said the Rev. Buddy Corbin, who spent a career as a Baptist minister before beginning work as a chaplain at CarePartners Hospice. “It's an ancient question. ... I think we all know there's something more.”
