A baby elephant born at a Leicestershire zoo has been blessed and named during a ceremony led by a Hindu priest.

Ten-week-old Ganesh Vijay is the first calf born at Twycross Zoo to be conceived by artificial insemination.

Brahmin Shree Mahendra Pandya from Leicester led prayers and placed a red dot on the elephant as part of the service.
