On November 14, 2002 Tolerance.org reported that "one of the world’s leading publishers and developers of entertainment software has announced it will cut several scenes from a top-selling new video game after receiving scores of complaints that the game promotes stereotypes and racist violence against Sikhs. Current versions of 'Hitman 2 -- Silent Assassin,' produced by award-winning UK-based Eidos Interactive, are being revised to remove the offensive images and references. The soon-to-be-released Nintendo GameCube version also will be modified before it hits store shelves. 'What’s most disturbing is that you have a very identifiable religious group being violently murdered within their own sacred place of worship,' said Ek Ong Kaar Kaur Khalsa, spokesperson for SikhNet, an online activist and educational community for Sikhs."
