Diana Eck Celebrates a New Religious America at Cedar Crest Graduation

On May 16, 2004 The Express-Times reported, "More than 3,500 cheered as Cedar Crest College introduced the class of 2004 during commencement ceremonies on Saturday... During the ceremonies honoring the 134th graduating class at the women's college, Harvard University Professor Diana L. Eck, director of the university's Pluralism Project, received an honorary doctorate of public service. Eck was invited to give the keynote address... 'From the halls of government to the halls of the workplace, we are a multi-religious society,' Eck said. 'America looks like the world -- a swirling color of rhythmic religions. And it is a new religious America in which all of us will live our lives.'"
