On September 25, 2005 Gloucester County Times reported, "The application by members of the Guru Nanak Sikh Society of Delaware Valley to build a temple on Fox Run Road [in Deptford, New Jersey] did not come before the planning board this month as previously expected. Township officials and the attorney representing the group both said the delay was caused by missing information, including a revised environmental report and any aerial maps available since 1950, which the applicant has yet to provide to planning board professionals. The project is now scheduled to come before the board on Nov. 2. The Sikhs... plan to construct two buildings on what used to be a pig farm in the rural neighborhood. A 20,650-square-foot structure for worship would sit alongside a smaller building to house the congregation's priest... Based on local zoning laws, a church or place of worship can be built on the site as long as it is compatible with the surrounding neighborhood."
