Dalai Lama to Visit Russia as a Spiritual Leader

Russia's Ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin has said Tibetan leader Dalai Lama is expected to visit Russia as a spiritual leader and as a politician.

Ambassador Kadakin said Russia has a good number of citizens following the faith of Buddhism and the people want to see their religious leader.

"No politics is involved and if he comes to Russia as only as leader of Buddhist, because we also have Buddhist republic in Russia. There are Buddhists in Altai region, in the Altai Mountains. We have great followers of Buddhists in Russia and they also want to see their spiritual leader," said Kadakin.
