The Prince of Wales went on a multi-faith tour to promote mutual understanding as he continued his Pakistan trip.

Accompanied by the Duchess of Cornwall, he met members of Lahore's religious communities - at a mosque, a Sikh temple and an Anglican cathedral.

They also visited the tomb of the man who first proposed creating Pakistan.

BBC royal correspondent Peter Hunt says the prince is passionate about improving inter-faith dialogue.

The royal couple entered the Badshahi Mosque, one of the most celebrated landmarks in Lahore, known as Pakistan's cultural capital.

The vast mosque, in the eastern Punjab province, holds 55,000 worshippers and is the second largest in the country.
