On July 8, 2005 the Press Trust of India reported, "Describing the coordinated explosions in London as a 'barbaric attack on human dignity, democratic freedom and modern civilization,' the Hindu Forum of Britain today appealed to all faiths in the country not to be divided and extend full support to the Government in fighting all forms of terror.

'It was encouraging to hear the Prime Minister Tony Blair, saying that we will stand united in our resolve to ensure that terrorism will never win,' said Ramesh Kallidai, Secretary General of the Forum in a statement here.

He said 'One of the most shameful fallouts of terrorism is that it aims to divide communities by creating fear and suspicion,' Kallidai said. 'Britain is a good example of a multicultural society where all faith communities have been living together peacefully. It is now more important than ever to ensure that we do not succumb to terrorism by allowing ourselves to be divided.'"
