WASHINGTON, DC - Nov. 21, 2006 (MASNET) Imam Abdul Hannan, Imam Masood, and Hassan Masood were released on bail today after an immigration bail hearing. Bail was set at $7500 each for the two Imams and $2500 for Imam Masood's son, Hassan Masood.
Hundreds of interfaith supporters from all walks of life flooded the JFK plaza for a post-bail release press conference. The press conference was moderated by Bilal Kaleem. Speaking at the press conference were members of MAS Freedom Local and National, the Imams attorneys William Joyce and Jerry Friedman, community Imams, and representatives from the Jewish community, Christian community, and Interfaith Council. The press conference was well covered by the media. Currently MAS-Boston's President, Hossam Al Jabri, is heading towards Massachusetts Correction Center to pick up the Imams.
