Leading figures from Birmingham’s multi-faith community joined forces and pledged to “be make more noise” in ensuring they bring the issues facing them to the fore.
A high-profile debate – chaired by Birmingham Mail editor Steve Dyson – discussed the future of faith in the city.
Representatives gathered at the University of Birmingham yesterday to discuss how to move forward the Faiths for the City programme.
The panel discussion brought to the close a three-day conference to define a vision for the role of faiths in Birmingham’s future, which included a keynote speech from the Archbishop of Westminster and former Archbishop of Birmingham, the Most Rev Vincent Nichols.
