With robes, tassels, Bible passages, music and words of challenge and inspiration, Coweta County seniors moved into the last week of their final year of public school education with baccalaureate services on Sunday.

Northgate High students heard a baccalaureate message from John Orr, high school pastor at Crossroads Church. Crossroads — probably the county's largest congregation in terms of membership — made an extra effort to make Northgate's seniors feel welcome and special as they prepare to graduate.

The Crossroads Student Ministry made arrangements with professional photographer Sherry Liztenberger to provide each student with a complimentary photograph of the graduate and family as a remembrance of the day.

The Gideons provided all graduates with personal copies of the New Testament including Psalms and Proverbs.

A reception in honor of the Northgate class of 2007 was also held immediately following the baccalaureate service in The Hangar, a gathering area at Crossroads. Family and friends of the graduates, faculty and members at Crossroads enjoyed the time of fellowship.
