# Humanism in Boston

Humanism has a vital, and growing, presence in Greater Boston today. The first Humanist Chaplaincy, now known as “The Humanist Hub,” was established at Harvard University decades ago. While it is no longer active, the Humanist Chaplaincies at Harvard and MIT work with students, interfaith groups, and secular organizations. Humanists in Greater Boston also connect through a variety of local groups, including the Concord Area Humanists and Greater Boston Humanists, both of which are affiliated with the national American Humanist Association.
