Description: Founded in 1930, HMI is an academic institution and research center. The goal of HMI is to combine academic research with praxis. To achieve this goal, HMI hosts students who are working on master's, doctoral, and post-doctoral research. HMI is also committed to working on reconciliation efforts, supporting peaceful initiatives at all levels by increasing trust, co-operation and understanding among individuals and groups. Publication and Library: HMI publishes a semi-annual journal called the Journal of Henry Martyn Institute and books that focus on religious studies. HMI also has a library where most of the collection is related to Islam and interfaith issues. Not only HMI faculty and students can access this library, but also local universities' teaching staff and students, researchers, voluntary organizations, clergy and religious scholars.
